The Nihongo Cup is a national competition encouraging young and more advanced students to write a speech and present it in front of a panel and their peers. The contest encourages students to grow in confidence and challenges them to deeply explore Japanese as the beautiful language it is.
The now year 12 student, Ruth Ladani, made it into the final of the contest. The contest of 2013 allowed her to express the love of her Japanese class with a special mention to our amazing teacher Ms Middleton. Another student, Taranpreet who is currently in year 10 studying Japanese at a GCSE level, spoke about her dream of becoming a doctor and helping people in the 2014 contest.
