Last year, we were privileged enough to have a visit from Dr Fukushima who is the chief advisor of Japan Foundation. He introduced us to "Japanese Anime and Manga" : a website created by Japan Foundation (find out more about this website below). He surprised us with a library of a variety of shoujo (girls) manga.
Thank you very much for your generosity Dr Fukushima

Erin's Challenge! I Can Speak Japanese
This website is great as it incorporates different interactive activities - such as videos and quizzes with a variety of translations available. The videos are of a girl called Erin who takes us on her journey through Japan as a Japanese high school student. These videos are highly beneficial as they teach Japanese learners about Japanese culture and how the high school is. They inform us all about the regulations about Japan in a way that is simple for everyone to understand. However, despite all this, the most beneficial thing about this website are the fun quizzes that make learning the language so much more enjoyable.

Japanese in Anime and Manga
This best thing about this website is that it makes you learn Japanese subconsciously - without you even realising it, you're picking up key words and phrases. This website is mainly aimed at people who love anime and manga even though by using this website, you will probably fall in love with anime and manga (if not the scrapper). Within the website, there are various different type of characters involved in anime and manga. For example, there is a girl, boy, scrapper, old man, butler etc. You can hear the different texts in the voices of these characters - it's great fun!

Ready Steady NihonGO!
A great way for beginners to learn the basics of Japanese. It contains easy and fun ways to learn the alphabets of Japanese. One way this is done is by mnemonics. For example, the number 2 (pronounced as ni - に) would be remembered as "Knee" as it sounds similar.
The website is easy to use and also provides completed lesson plans which aid teachers teach Japanese.
